Official blason

Gironné d'or et d'azur ; à la croix de Malte d'argent brochant en abîme; au chef de gueules chargé d'un sapin d'argent accosté de deux abeilles volantes d'or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on June 26, 1981.

The chief shows two bees and a pone tree for the apiculture and forestry in the village. The main charge is a Maltese cross, which refers to the Order of Malta, which had possessions in Saint-Merd-les-Oussines.
