BUNCRANA

County : Donegal

Buncrana.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The stag and the crescent are derived from the badges of the most important historical clans in the area; the O'Dohery's and the McLaughlins respectively.

The bridge represents the Castle Bridge, a local landmark. The wavy yellow and green represents the landscape, fields and beaches. The crosses are derived from the arms of the County Donegal.
