Origin/meaning

The oldest known seal of Burladingen dates from 1534 and shows the quartered shield of the (Hohen)Zollern family. The village belonged to the family since the 13th century.

The keys first appear on the seal of Burladingen from 1702 and are derived from the oldest Lords of Hechingen.
