Origin/meaning

The oldest known seal of Burladingen dates from 1534 and shows the quartered shield of the (Hohen)Zollern family. The village belonged to the family since the 13^th century.

The keys first appear on the seal of Burladingen from 1702 and are derived from the oldest Lords of Hechingen.
