Origin/meaning
The arms are those of the Novince d'Aubigny family, to which the village historically belonged. The colours, howver, were changed to distinguish the arms from the family arms. Also, a sword, taken from the arms of the Abbey of Notre-Dame du Val in Cahagnes has been added, as the abbey played a major role in the local development.
