Origin/meaning

The arms show a sun for the dry and sunny climate and a grape for the importance of viticulture. The dry climate is also symbolised by the soil in which the grape is planted. The crosier refers to the Fontcaude Abbey and the two wavy bars to the source (font) after which the abbey is named.
