Blason de Chantrigné/Arms of Chantrigné
Official blazon
French De gueules à la croix d'argent, chargée d’une clé contournée de sable et cantonnée de quatre quartefeuilles d'or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on January 25, 2000.

The red field with the silver cross is takem from the arms of the Île du Gast family, former Lords of the village.

The quartefeuilles are the representation of the name of the village by symbolising the flowers of the Hedge Mustard (Sisymbrium officinale, or chantre in French)

The key indicates that Saint Peter is the patron saint of the village.
