Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on July 19, 2015.

The oak refers to both the name Chenac and the meaning of the old word "uzet": oak woods.

The sturgeon symbolises that Saint-Seurin d'Uzet was the "capital of caviar" and the grapes refer to the main economic resource of the town, the production of Pineau des Charentes.
