CORBEYRIER

Canton : Vaud

Armoiries de Corbeyrier

Official blazon

D'or à la tête de loup arrachée de sable, lampassée de gueles.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1926.

The wolf's head refers to an ancient local legend. Wolves were common for a very long time in the forests of the municipality. The colours are those of Aigle, as Corbeyrier was part of Aigle parish until the late 18th century.
