CUVRY

Département : Moselle

Blason de Cuvry

Official blason

D’or à la tour de sable, ouverte et ajourée du champ, chapé d’azur chargé des lettres onciales S et N du champ.

Origin/meaning

The arms show a tower, taken from the Pays region, to which the village historically belonged. The point is the symbol of the local patron saint, St. Martin of Tours, who cut his cloak for a beggar. The letters S and N refer to the St. Nicholas Hospital in Metz, to which the village belonged for a long time.
