German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

DÖBRITZ

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Saale-Orla Kreis

Wappen von Döbritz/Arms of Döbritz
Official blazon
German

Geteilt; oben in Rot ein silberner Pflug, unten von Silber und Rot senkrecht gerautet

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 01, 1991.

The upper part shows a plough, as a symbol for the agricultural character of the area. The lower part shows a typical decoration found on pre-historical pottery, which has been found in the area. The pottery dates from around 130000 BC and thus symbolises the long inhabitation in the area.
