DALSLAND

Coat of arms (crest) of Dalsland

Official blazon

I fält av silver en röd gående tjur i rött med beväring i guld.

Origin/meaning

The arms were first used for the province in 1560 at the funeral of King Gustav Vasa. The arms probably show a bull, for the importance of cattle farming in the region at the time.
