Geviert, oben rechts in Schwarz ein vier­ speichiges silbernes Mühlrad, oben links und unten rechts in Gold ein blauer Wellenbal­ ken, unten links in Schwarz schräggekreuzt ein silberner Schlägel und ein silbernes Eisen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 26, 1968.

The quartering refers to the four former municipalities. The water mill wheel refers to the 14 former mills in the municipality. The tools in the fourth quarter to the importance of mining. The wavy bar refers to the 'Auf dem Bach' (On the river) estate, to which most of the area historically belonged.
