ENINGEN UNTER ACHALM

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Reutlingen

Eningen.jpg

Official blazon

In Blau eine silberne Lilie.

Origin/meaning

The arms are based on the 18th century seal of the town, which also showed the fleur-de-lis. The origin or meaning of the symbol, however, is not known. The fleur-de-lis is a wellknown symbol for the St. Mary, and there has been a chapel devoted to St. Mary on the Achalm.
