Selected collector's items from Germany:

ENNEPETAL

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Ennepe-Ruhr Kreis
Additions : 1949 Voerde, Altenvoerde, Milspe

Wappen von Ennepetal

Official blazon

Unter einem in zwei Reihen siebenmal von Silber und Rot geschachteten Schildhaupt in goldenem Feld steht senkrecht ein blauer Wellenpfahl, der von einem roten Sparren überdeckt wird.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1953 and show in the upper part the bar, taken from the arms of the Counts of the Mark. These Counts historically ruled the area for many centuries. The lower part shows the Ennepe river, with the chevron as a symbol of the old municipalities that formed the new city.
