Escudo de vermelho, mundo crucífero de ouro em chefe; uma roda dentada e ferro de enxada, ambos de prata, alinhados em faixa e, em ponta, dois ramos de feto de verde, perfilados de ouro e passados em aspa. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda de negro, em maiúsculas : “ FOLGOSA - MAIA “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 2, 1999.
