Official blason

Sköld, kluven av blått, vari tre bjälkar av guld, och av silver, vari en stolpvis ställd blå stock med utskjutande, avhuggna grenar.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 24, 1954.

The blue field with golden bars is taken from the arms of the Hinseberg family, which had their estate in the town. The tree refers to the importance of the paper and timber industry.
