Wappen von Frauenstein (Wiesbaden)/Arms (crest) of Frauenstein (Wiesbaden)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1951 for the borough Wiesbaden-Frauenstein. The municipality itself never used any arms. The arms are based on the two historical seals of the village, known from 1545 and 1727. Both show the local patron saint, St. George, killing the dragon. This image has been simplified to form the above arms. The colours are those of the State of Mainz, to which the village belonged from the 14th century until 1802.
