Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 2, 1962.

The arms are based on arms discovered in the town hall from 1608. The meaning is not known. The colours are those of the State of Würzburg, to which the village belonged from 1481-1803. The green field symbolises the agricultural character of the municipality.
