GLAINE-MONTAIGUT
Département : Puy-de-Dôme
Official blason
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 2000.
The lion's head is taken from the arms of the Aycelin de Montaigut family, former lords of the village from 1295 to the end of the 15th century.
The garbs and the green colour refer to the agricultural school that existed in the village for 25 years from 1883-1908. The sunflower refers to the current crops.
