Im roten Schild unter silbernem, mit aus der Teilung wachsender halben grünen Lilie belegtem Schildhaupt ein silberner Querbalken, diesem unterlegt ein silbernes Lateinisches Kreuz mit oben und seitlich verbreiterten Balkenenden.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 21, 1922 and again on March 20, 2016.
The arms were granted by the Federal Ministry of Interior and Education Affairs. Apparently, this grant only confirms the use of already existing arms. It is not certain whether (and if, when) these original arms were granted.
