Wappen von Gnotzheim

Official blazon

In Blau ein durchgehender silberner Schragen.

Origin/meaning

The cross is first seen on the local seal dating from 1848. Around 1898 the cross was also used as a coat of arms for the town. The cross is derived from the oldest known rulers of the town, the Counts of Oettingen, who acquired the area in the late 14th century.
