Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms show a cross, which probably was used in previous centuries as a village sign on borderstones, and since 1679 also on the local seal. The arms were officially granted in 1925 in the colors of the County Katzenelnbogen, to which the village belonged in the 14th century.
