GOURNAY-SUR-MARNE

Département : Seine-Saint-Denis

Blason de Gournay-sur-Marne

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on April 13, 1967.

The two fleur-de-lys are the symbol of the Île-de-France region, in which the municipality is situated. The lower half shows the local river and bridge, with a fish for the formerly importance of fishing for the village. The inescutcheon shows the arms of Jacques Pylle, former lord of the village.
