GRANERA

Region : Catalonia
Province : Barcelona

Escudo de Granera

Official blazon

Escut caironat: d'atzur un castell d'argent tancat de sable acompanyat de 2 espigues de blat d'or, una a cada costat. Per timbre una corona de baró.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 16, 1983.

The arms show the castle of Granera (10th century), that became the centre of a barony (this fact is symbolized by the baron's crown at the top of the arms). The two wheat ears at each side of the castle are canting: the name Granera reminds grain in Catalan.

Escudo de Granera
