GROSS-WILFERSDORF

State : Steiermark
District : Hartberg-Fürstenfeld (until 2015 Fürstenfeld)

Grosswilfersdorf.gif

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on ??-20, 1975.

The charges of the arms were taken from the arms of the von Kornpeck und Wilfersdorf families, as displayed on a tombstone of 1621.

The ears of corn were canting arms on Kornpeck, the wolf may have hinted at Wilfersdorf (based on old names and variations of the name).
