Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 30, 1947. The Cauldron is from the Seal of Grytnäs Parish. It is also canting Gryta is Swedish for Cauldron.
The Wavy Fess symbolises the River Dalälven. The Cog Wheels stands for the Industry in the Area.
