German Im blauen Schild eine silberne Zinnenmauer mit zwei sil­bernen Zinnentürmen, über dem offenen Tor ein goldenes Kreuz mit Kugelenden.

Origin/meaning

The oldest seal of the city dates from the mid 13th century and is known since 1269. The seal already showed the two towers and the cross. All later seals and images have shown the same composition, even though the size and shape of the towers and the cross have varied widely.
