Official blazon

I fält av silver ett blått, brinnande treberg med röd låga; berget, belagt med en av vågskuror bildad stolpe av silver, är åtföljt till höger av en uppgående måne och till vänster av ett järnmärke, allt blått.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 5, 1942.

The arms are largely based on the old seal of the Hällefors mining authority from 1685. As additions the symbols for silver and iron have been added in the chief.
