HÖCHBERG

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Würzburg

Hochberg.jpg

Official blazon

In Blau über einer heraldischen goldenen Lilie schräg gekreuzt ein goldener Karst und ein goldener Dreschflegel.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 12, 1952.

The fleur-de-lis in the lower half of the shield is derived from the arms of the St.Burkhard Abbey in Würzburg, which owned the village for many centuries. The two farmer's tools are a symbol for the role the local farmers played in the farmer's revolt of the early 16th century.
