In geviertem Schild oben rechts in Blau ein rotbewehrter silberner Adler, oben links in Gold ein blaubewehrter und -bezungter roter Löwe, unten rechts in Gold drei rote Sparren, unten links in Schwarz fünf silberne Bollen 2:1:2. Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on February 12, 1962. The village belonged during the times of the Holy Roman Empire to four families/rulers (simultaneously and subsequently) that are represented in the arms as follows. The silver eagle represents the County and later Principality of Leiningen; the red lion represents the duchy of Zweibrücken; the 3 red chevrons represent the County of Hanau-Lichtenberg; and the five silver balls on black the Lords of Sickingen.
