Official blazon
I rött fält en bjälke av guld, belagd med två röda kugghjul, åtföljd nedtill av ett järnmärke och upptill av en propeller, allt av guld.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 21, 1948. The Propeller symbolises the Shipping activites of the Area. The sign of Iron symbolises the old Iron Mines.
The Cog wheels symbolises the Industry.
