Hallsberg kommunvapen

Official blason

I rött fält tre i byglarna hopkopplade med svarta nyckelhål försedda hänglås av guld, bildande en på spetsen ställd triangel.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1950 for the city of Hallsberg and continued in 1971 by the municipality Hallsberg. The arms were officially registered in 1977.

The arms are based on a seal dating from 1790 and symbolise the historical importance of lock-making in the city. The locks also indicate the importance of the city as a railroad junction and they also symbolise security and safety.
