Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: A red disc surrounded by a purple designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border and inscribed “HATTIESBURG HIGH SCHOOL” in yellow letters overall a yellow tiger face detailed purple, eyed red with white pupils and white teeth. The overall dimensions are 3 3/16 inches (8.10 cm) in diameter.
Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Gold metal and enamel device 1 1/8 (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Purpure, a tiger’s head Or garnished of the first; attached below a Purple scroll turned Gold and inscribed “TIGERS” in Gold letters.
Origin/meaning
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Purple and gold are the school colors. The tiger is the school mascot and reflects the cadets’ battalion name.
Shoulder Loop Insignia: Purple and gold are the school colors. The tiger is the school mascot.
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved on 8 December 1997 and Shoulder Loop Insignia on 29 December 1997.
