HOHENDODELEBEN

State : Sachsen-Anhalt
District (Kreis) : Börde (until 2007 Bördekreis)
Incorporated into : 2010 Wanzleben-Börde

Wappen von Hohendodeleben/Arms (crest) of Hohendodeleben
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 16, 1995.

The arms show the former protection wall around the village, which also contained 4 watch towers. The key is taken from a 17th century seal of the village, which showed the local patron saint, St. Peter, with the key.
The colours are those of the Archdiocese of Magdeburg, to which the area historically belonged.

The arms were designed in 1987, but granted only in 1995.
