Sinisessä kentässä alaisesta aaltokoroisesta hopeahirrestä nouseva kultainen kaksitorninen linna, jonka ikkuna- ja oviaukot punaiset.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 30, 1956.
The arms show the fortress that was built on an island in the local river in the 17th century. Ever since the town's seal used to show a castle.
In the 19th cnetury the city used different arms, showing the full fortress in the river.
