KALCHIK (Кальчик)
Region (Oblast) : Donetsk
Ukrainian | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on March 10, 1999.
The upper half shows weapons of the Russian and Tartar armies and symbolises the battle between these tow armies near the town in 1223. The base shows two picks, for agriculture and mining. The bar in between symbolises the railway, which has played a major role in the development of the village.
