Official blazon

In Grün über einem gesenkten silbernen Wellenbalken schwebend eine mit roten Steinen besetzte goldene Kaiserkrone, die oben von zwei silbernen Flachsblüten begleitet ist.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 8, 1968.

The arms show the medieval imperial crown and refer to the imperial manor near Karsbach in the 9th and 10th century. The wavy bar refers to the -Bach (stream) part of the name. The flax flowers refer to the formerly important linen manufacturing.
