English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 16, 1972.
The whole area historically belonged to the Klettgau region, hence the name of the new municipality in 1971. The arms are also based on the old arms of the Klettgau region, which showed three red points in silver. This was increased to five for the five municipalities that merged in 1971. After the second merger, the number was not changed.
The pine tree is taken from the arms of Weisweil and also refers to the Schwarzwald region and its forests.
