KRAKAUDORF

State : Steiermark
District : Murau

Krakaudorf.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on August 1, 1981.

The arms of Krakaudorf display the crow which is borne by all three villages in the Krakau. The stars are a reference to the counts of Sternberg, landlords in the Krakau in the Middle Ages. The crown is a symbol of St Oswald, patron of miners, to whom the church of Krakaudorf is dedicated.
