Official blazon

In Grün im Schildhaupt und im Schildfuß je ein schmaler silberner Wellenbalken, dazwischen ein silbernes Rad, oben fächerförmig umgeben von drei giebelständigen goldenen Häusern.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 5, 2002.

The name of the village is derived from Krumme Stätte or 'bend steads', which is represented by the three houses shown in a demi-circle. The wheel symbolises the old road, which was in the 16th and 17th century the main trade road between Dithmarschen and Holstein. The wavy bars represent the two rivers Weddelbek and Schafau, as well as the Windeberger See. The green colour symbolises the forests in the municipality, whereas the gold symbolises the sandy soils (Geest).
