Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms are based on the seal from 1229 from Conrad Reiz von Lützelbach. The arms were granted in 1963.

In 1956 the arms below were proposed for the municipality, but the council finally adopted the historical arms instead. The proposal was based on theonly historical seal of the local council, dating from the 18th century. It showed a shield with two bars, the arms of the Lords of Breuberg, who ruled the village at the time. To distinguish the arms a canting blue bar (Bach, stream) was added.
