Official blazon
German Unter blauem Schildhaupt, darin ein silberner Dreiberg mit flachem Grund und tiefen Tälern, in Silber aus einem blauen Dreiberg wachsend ein symmetrischer Eichenbaum mit zwei Seitenästen, acht Blättern und fünf Eicheln.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1929.

The arms show in the upper part a canting 'long mountain', with the two valleys in the municipality. The oak tree symbolises the Eickeshagen mountain, on which the first church was built. The colours are taken from the colours of the arms of the counts of Berg (see the county arms).
