LEITERSDORF IM RAABTAL

State : Steiermark
District : Feldbach

Leitersdorf.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 5, 1997.

The arms refer to social history: The line of partition is taken from the arms of the von Kraig family, medieval landowners in the region. Two mill-wheels honour the historically important mills in the valley of the river Raab.

The two flowers in the arms are plants that can be found on arable land, Ackergelbstern (English name unknown) and Dogtooth violet.
