LINDRY

Département : Yonne

Blason de Lindry
Official blazon
French De sinople à la brebis paissante d'argent accompagnée en chef de deux fleurs de lis d'or.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 2009.

The arms are based on a 17th century version of the arms. The sheep is the symbol of St. Geneviève, the local patron saint. The fleur-de-lys are a symbol for Paris, as the village historically was not part of the Bourgogne, but was ruled directly from Paris.
