LINSBURG

State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Nienburg
Samtgemeinde : Samtgemeinde Steimbke

Wappen von Linsburg/Arms (crest) of Linsburg
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 6, 1983.

The two buffalo horms are taken from the arms of the Lords of Wölpe and the arms of the Amt Wölpe region, to which Linsburg belonged. Also the silver and blue colours are taken from the arms of the family. The deer skull and antlers symbolise the hunting lodge built near the village by the Dukes of Calenberg in the 18th century. The lodge was destroyed in 1767. The oak leaf symbolises the forests in the municipality.
