Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 8, 1927.

The arms show a house and the Holy Virgin. In Loreto there is one of the most important sanctuaries of Italy. The legend tells that, when the Virgin Mary died, the angels took her house and carried it on Loreto. The sanctuary is known with the name of "Holy House of Loreto".
