German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

MÜNSTER (SCHWABEN)

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Augsburg (until 1972 Schwabmünchen)
Incorporated into : 1978 Mickhausen

Wappen von Münster (Schwaben)

Official blazon

(de) Geteilt von Silber und Rot; oben ein gezinntes rotes Burgtor; unten drei, zwei zu eins gestellte silberne Kugeln.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 5, 1968.

The gate is a symbol for the former Lords of Burgtor, who owned the village from 1140-1317. The balls are taken from the Knights von Münster, known from at least 1197-1310, and who had their castle in the village.
