Official blazon

Arms: Gules, three martlets, wings elevated and addorsed Or; on a chief sable an open book proper, bound and clasped gold, between two hawks' heads erased also gold.
Crest: On a wreath of the colours, A demi lion gules gorged with a collar compony azure and ermine and supporting between the paws a castle triple-towered argent.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 9, 1954.
