The arms are based on the only known seal of the village, known from 1851, but probably a bit older (now in the Šarišský Museum in Bardejov). A second seal was made in 1868 with the same design. | |||

St. Michael was the patron saint of the village at the end of the 18th century, when the Catholic Church was transferred to the Greek Orthodox Church. Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 22, 1999.
The arms are based on the only known seal of the village, known from 1851, but probably a bit older (now in the Šarišský Museum in Bardejov). A second seal was made in 1868 with the same design.
